Not the best carbon paddle I have tried but for the price its definitely a 5 star IF you take time to select a good one.
After reading somw reviews of loose connection I took the paddle out of bag and put them together. First 2 had loose connections. The 3rd was perfectly tight and secure. No movement at the joints
Actual weight of mine was 624g not the indicated 585g. Abit on the heavy side for a full carbon. However it did make the blade and shaft super stiff. Whether thats good or bad depends on the paddler.
Catch is typical of this blade shape, slightly less than the more common teardrop shape. The power stage is strong and without flutter. It feels like a blade larger than the 87.5 in2. I think it is the scoop that gives it more power than equal size flat or dihedral blade.
No regrets but for me personally i would have liked a little more flex in the shaft -

Comes in a useful carry bag. It is surprisingly light and the general quality is very good eg tubes and blade, in particular, seem very good. The ergonomics of the handle suit me well and adjustment/assembly is easy. The downside for my paddle (maybe not the case for all?) is the hole for the spring/pin connector in the female end of the middle section is drilled with a diameter that is too large for the pin. Therefore there is some (a few degrees) of rotational freedom between the blade and handle. This freedom makes the blade flutter during the power stroke. Not mission critical but I find it really irritating. Taping the joint would, I’m sure, cure the problem but then so would having the right diameter hole. In light of the price and excellent weight, overall I can tolerate the blade flutter and I still think it’s a decent product.

Although extremely light, this paddle is not well designed or constructed. The blade requires a lot of control to prevent lateral movement on the catch, and construction of the joints that join the sections together results in a lot of movement and wobble. It really didn't feel strong or safe in the water.
