I bought this paddle at then end of March last year, as the UK went into lockdown. I Have seriously only used this paddle about 8 times during the last year and today although the waves were small and I had fallen off a few times I was shocked to see that the paddle had broken.

After some research on paddles I was impressed at the spec of this paddle & despite some mixed reviews would like to thank the positive review of "Paddleboard Instructor, Land & Wave, Dorset" for helping me to reach the decision to purchase. This is an excellent 60% carbon shaft 15% blade paddle at this price point. Have tested so far on a up /down stream on a 7 mile river section & its been a real game changer for me. Paddle looks excellent quality and feels great in action. My stroke rate has increased significantly very helpful when paddling into a head wind. 760g reduced weight has again significantly improved fatigue. Ergonomic plastic handle is comfortable in use. QC excellent arrived in perfect condition from warehouse. This is my initial review after 7 miles use...look forward to updating this review after a couple of months.

The paddle itself is great and does the job well. However there is a design defect with the retainer clip that keeps the two parts together. The metal it is made from is too thin and it has broken twice due to a small amount of corrosion! The first time it was replaced and it has happened again so it definitely needs to be rectified. A small piece of cord to hold the retainer in place sorts it out.
